Hello, my name is Vanessa Ruplall.

I am a high school student at Bronx Guild, interning at Grace Outreach. I am at Grace Outreach on Mondays and Thursdays. I basically do any and everything. This is my first time interning at Grace Outreach, and so far I'm loving it.

One big part of Grace Outreach, and specifically Career Prep at Grace Outreach, is the Career Fairs. On January 24, 2011 we held a Career Fair at Grace Outreach. It was a very exciting and educational day. We had speakers come in from different organizations. One speaker, Luis, is a member of the NEDAP Organization. Luis explained a lot of information to the students about The Banking Basics.

Steve is from Per Scholas, he is part of their training team. Per Scholas is a technology based organization which teaches students about computers, fixing electronics, and programming. Per Scholas is a very useful and helpful organization. Per Scholas recycles computer parts, meaning they repair and reuse the parts to build a better computer for low- income households. They offer free classes to anyone who is willing to learn more about being a computer technician.

Regina is a part of a non-profit organization called Dress for Success. Dress for Success provides free apparel for women all around the world. Dress for Success teaches the ladies how to be very professional and properly dressed for a job interview. In order for the women to have a professional wardrobe or suit, they must have an interview or a job. Regina is one of the members at Dress for success who teaches these women how to dress and how to be professional in a job interview.

The Career Fair educates women at Grace Outreach about their future decisions. It helps them figure out more about what they want to do with their GED after they graduate from GO. It also educates the students more about the different job opportunities and how to make a good decision on what careers they choose.
