Tamara Returns - With a Promotion!

Today is the first day Tamara is returning to Grace Outreach. She has returned from a maternity leave after four months. Now that she is back, there is so much for her to catch up on. Tamara is a very hard working person. Starting in April of 2011, she will be making four years working at Grace Outreach.

Before leaving Grace Outreach, Tamara was the Lead Tutor. She mainly did tutoring, test prep, working with the fast track students, and helping in the office. She did all the little things that mattered the most. Now she has her own class and that is her main focus. Tamara still does the fast track students, and she is learning more about ETO.

Coming back to Grace Outreach after her maternity leave doesn’t make her perspective on work any different. Everything is all the same, just working new people. Except for one thing, she is no longer managing the tutors. Tamara is constantly helping out other teachers and tutors in need. She has a little bit more experience, and is not afraid to help her staff.

Tamara’s future goals are to eventually finish college. At first she wanted to go to school to become a teacher. Now, she has changed her plans. Tamara wants to do educational counseling to help others who do not have that one person there to guide them. Everyone needs someone to help them in life and guide them towards their goals.

One thing that motivates her is to see the responses of the women. Tamara wants to help these women get a better life and reach their goals. At some point Tamara will leave the staff. She also has goals she wants to achieve and Grace Outreach is her motivation. It doesn’t matter if she leaves or not, because she will be back at Grace Outreach volunteering and helping out once in a while.
